The Passage Theatre is seeking a Marketing Director to manage social media, website, marketing campaigns, and branding. A small annual stipend is available. We’re looking for an excellent communicator and collaborator who is excited to develop the brand of an up-and-coming Chicago theatre company.

Duties Include:

  • Attend staff meetings (1-2 monthly)

  • Maintain and update website

  • Manage all print and online advertising, including mailing list

  • Raise awareness of the company among potential patrons

  • Create images for social media

  • Collaborate with artists to create poster designs

  • Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice and style

  • 3-5 hours work per week on average


No prior experience necessary. Must be familiar with design software (such as Photoshop or Canva), Gmail, and social media. Graphic design experience is not necessary, but very useful for this position. We are looking for candidates motivated by a passion for growing an emerging theatre company and joining an artistic family.
